How the consumer and the world has changed is to be explored during a top-level conference in Sydney (July 8-10).
President of crayon and ‘chief interruptor’ Joseph Jaffe will provide insight into the changes and demonstrate the potential of fusing direct and digital when he heads a list of speakers at the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA) Forum – an annual event which draws marketing professionals from around the world to the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Jaffe will kick-start the conference, which has as its theme: Concentrated Marketing Genius. He commented: “As we are forced to produce more from less, our ticket to success is through integration and the glue that brings everything together or connects the dots is conversation – or specifically the power of community, dialogue and partnership.”
An awarded blogger and bestselling author of ‘Life after the 30 Second Spot’ and ‘Join the Conversation’, he will address his simple hypothesis: “The consumer has changed. The world has changed. But most marketers have not.”
ADMA CEO, Rob Edwards (pictured), said: “As the direct and digital spaces are developing so rapidly we are intent upon delivering a conference that remains progressive and relevant to the industry.
“ADMA Forum is your one-stop opportunity to establish contacts and network with marketing giants, to gain inspiration to make your dollar go further and to stay ahead of the game in this challenging economic climate.
“In tough economic times, the challenges for marketers can be even greater: to achieve more with less and to find fresh, cost-effective ways of doing things. Doing what we’ve always done will no longer cut it,” Edwards added.
Local and international speakers sharing detailed case studies at the conference will include Mark Buckman, chief marketing officer of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia; Ken Burke, MarketLive’s chairman, chief evangelist and online/social marketing expert; Bob Lorum, president of MarketingSherpa; and Geoff Cooper, chief executive officer of Proximity iD.
