A new award honouring individual pioneers in the direct and interactive marketing industry has been presented to Diane Rinas (pictured), senior marketing manager at DHL Global Mail.
The winner of the FEDMA & Holmen Paper European Direct Marketer of the Year 2009 glass trophy – designed by Latvian agency Marketing House – was announced during the well-attended Spanish marketers’ IMAN awards event in Madrid last week.
The awards were the culmination of two days of industry debate and discussion in the Spanish capital, as more than 300 delegates took part in the annual International NextMarketing forum, expertly organised by FECEMD (Federación de Comercio Electrónico y Marketing Directo) in partnership with national postal service, Correos.
On the first day, the spring FEDMA List Council Breakfast meeting was held – sponsored by Holmen Paper and Jet Republic – attracting members from around the world, many of whom later attended the bi-annual IFDMA symposium (International Federation of Direct Marketing Associations). The next breakfast and symposium meetings are planned for October, during the USA DMA annual show, this year being staged in San Diego, California.
- A review of the Madrid events will appear in the June edition of DMI magazine. Meanwhile, there’s more details here: http://www.fedma.org/awards-09.117199.en.html
