‘Talking shop’ will be top of the agenda in Budapest next month, when industry professionals from central Europe and way beyond gather for Hungary’s fifth annual Golden Dove Conference.
The two-day international direct marketing event (November 5-6) this year includes DMI magazine’s top-level online debating platform – Talk Back! – in its live format. This first ‘Talk Back Live: Budapest’ event will be hosted by DMI columnists Ian Hughes (Consumer Intelligence) and Rosemary Smith (Opt-4/RSA Direct).
DMI publisher Matt Edgar explained: “Our online Talk Back! feature has become the finger on the pulse of DM debate globally and it makes sense to take that into a live scenario – I am certain Rosemary, Ian and the Golden Dove attendees will have plenty to talk about. The Golden Dove event is always well-organised, well-attended and has a great line-up of speakers, so it makes sense to co-locate the two. Budapest is also a fabulous place to visit and the Hungarians a pleasure to work with!”

This year, the Golden Dove conference – being staged at the Danubius Health Spa Resort Margitsziget – will address revolutionary changes in the direct marketplace, look at the cutting-edge communication tools now being deployed by industry players and will offer guidance through the world of ‘DM 2.0’.
Sponsored by Posta Direkt, speakers include: Charles Prescott (USA) Prescott Report, Valentin Kalashnik (UA) OS Direct, Brian Mdluli (ZA) South African DMA, Jamie Riddell (UK) Cheeze, and Jörg Spreitzer (A) JWT Wien.
