Dutch socialists appoint UK firm to deliver campaigning tool

December 4th, 2009 · No Comments

UK-based direct marketing agency Tangent Direct has been appointed by the Dutch Socialist Party (the PvdA), to deliver a bespoke local marketing tool to aid them with their campaigning in the Dutch national and local elections, to be held next spring.

The software will allow PvdA’s campaign managers to localise offline election communications, including door drops, posters and other print material, and send all communications to be printed via a national printer, online from their desktop computers. Centrally approved templates will ensure consistent messaging. Tangent Direct is building the application based on its online local marketing communications product, Toolkit. It built a similar tool for the Flemish Socialist party, the sp.a, in February 2009 for the recent European and regional elections.

Paul Hoogland, Hoofd Unit Services/adjunct directeur PvdA, said: “We appointed Tangent Direct after seeing the success of the local marketing software they produced for the sp.a in Belgium and their work with the Labour Party in the UK.”
