Groupe Aeroplan, owners of the UK’s popular Nectar loyalty programme, has become a Business Suppression File (BSF) licence holder, The REaD Group has announced.
The BSF provides B2B marketers with up-to-date business change information provided by UK business data suppliers such as Dun & Bradstreet, The REaD Group (TRG), Experian, Yell, Companies House and Thomson Directories. By improving B2B campaign efficiency, BSF promotes positive brand image and maximises response rates - all while helping maintain valuable commercial relationships.
Marcus Oxlade, TRG Strata’s business development manager, said: "Business data decays by up to 35 per cent every year, undermining the effectiveness of B2B marketing campaigns. Even more tellingly, with the Direct Mail Information Service estimating that up to 66 per cent of UK B2B mailings contain errors, each year inaccurate business data is responsible for generating a veritable mountain of misaddressed and/or undeliverable mail. Obviously, this is bad for budgets and the environment."
Nectar’s data quality and supply manager, Andrew Bridges, added: "Groupe Aeroplan does its utmost to remain at the forefront of data management best practice. Licensing the Business Suppression File will allow Groupe Aeroplan to complete another important piece of the suppression file jigsaw. BSF will provide greater flexibility and means that we can now perform B2B suppression – thus protecting our partners’ investment in Nectar’s B2B data."
