Swiss Post International is strengthening its presence in Spain and taking over two long-term sales partners in Madrid – in good time for the full deregulation of the Spanish postal market in the next year.

The Dutch ABC Mail Group held the majority of the two companies being taken over – ABC Mail and Mail Partners Spain (MPS). The two companies have been sales partners of Swiss Post International since 2003 and are primarily active in the cross-border letter business.

Swiss Post International has a presence in 11 European countries, five Asian cities and in the USA and is the global number three among national postal companies in the cross-border letter market – after Deutsche Post DHL and La Poste.
