The majority of Internet users around the world spend more time during the week browsing the ’Net than watching television.
That the result of a survey of 24,000 people across 23 countries by reseacher Ipsos for news site Canada.com. It concluded that an average of 68 per cent of adults choose to surf the web rather than watch TV.
The Internet viewing figure was highest in China (89%), closely followed by Russia (87%). It was even 77 per cent in Turkey – where Internet access levels are notably less than in the US and Western Europe.
