American favourite, Martha Stewart Living magazine, is to be distributed across the UK, Australia and New Zealand from September, UK-based publishing house Pizzazz Media has announced.
Pizzazz Media has entered into a licensing agreement with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia (MSLO) to produce and distribute the new edition of the magazine on a monthly basis, further expanding MSLO’s growing portfolio of international magazines.
MSLO is also introducing editions of Everyday Food and Martha Stewart Weddings in Dubai this month and in October, respectively, with distribution in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt and Syria. An Indonesian edition of Martha Stewart Living will also debut next month. Each of the international editions features a blend of editorial from the US edition along with content created specifically for that region’s audience, reflecting local seasons and interests.
MSLO founder Martha Stewart said: "Whenever I travel abroad, I meet many people who love our magazines and want them where they live. I’m delighted to be offering our informative and inspiring creative content to a new and growing audience of consumers who are passionate about cooking, entertaining, gardening, crafting, weddings and more – all the subjects that we celebrate."
Michelle Grant, publisher at Pizzazz Media, said: "Martha Stewart Living in the UK will continue to reflect the timely and timeless information the 37 million loyal readers love about this beautiful magazine and we are delighted to launch this as part of our growing international portfolio at Pizzazz Media."
MSLO’s presence in the international marketplace extends beyond magazines. A number of Martha Stewart’s bestselling books, including Martha Stewart’s Cookies and Martha Stewart’s Encyclopaedia of Crafts are available in Europe. The company’s television programmes are being shown in more than 70 different countries, from Australia to Yemen. In addition, the popular Martha Stewart Crafts product line is now available in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany, Brazil, the Netherlands and Russia.
Charles Koppelman, executive chairman of MSLO, said: "Martha has a real following outside of the United States. We see a lot of opportunity for us in the international marketplace and are strategically focused on expanding our presence overseas."
